The SAP Java Connector 2.0 requires an RFC runtime library of version 6.20 or higher to be
installed on the system on which you want to run JCo.
If you don't have it yet you can either download the latest
version from SAP or use the version that comes with this package.
Windows NT, Windows 2000
Unzip the file sapjco-ntintel-2.0.zip into an arbitrary directory {sapjco-install-path}.
If you already have an older librfc32.dll in the c:\WINNT\system32 directory,
please replace it with the one that comes with JCo.
Finally, add {sapjco-install-path}\sapjco.jar to your CLASSPATH environment variable.
Linux
To install JCo for Linux copy the file sapjco-linuxintel-2.0.tgz or
sapjco-linuxintel-2.0.tar.Z into an arbitrary directory {sapjco-install-path}.
Next, change to the installation directory:
cd {sapjco-install-path} return
Depending on the format of the archive, type either
tar xzf sapjco-linuxintel-2.0.tgz return
or
tar xZf sapjco-linuxintel-2.0.tar.Zreturn
Add {sapjco-install-path} to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable.
Finally, add {sapjco-install-path}/sapjco.jar to your CLASSPATH environment variable.
Solaris
To install JCo for Solaris copy the file sapjco-sun-2.0.tgz or
sapjco-sun-2.0.tar.Z into an arbitrary directory {sapjco-install-path}.
Next, change to the installation directory:
cd {sapjco-install-path} return
Depending on the format of the archive, type either
gunzip sapjco-sun-2.0.tgzreturn tar xf sapjco-sun-2.0.tarreturn
or, if you do not have the gunzip utility installed on your computer
uncompress sapjco-sun-2.0.tar.Zreturn tar xf sapjco-sun-2.0.tarreturn
Add {sapjco-install-path} to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable.
Finally, add {sapjco-install-path}/sapjco.jar to your CLASSPATH environment variable.
IBM-AIX
To install JCo for IBM-AIX copy the file sapjco-rs6000-2.0.tgz or
sapjco-rs6000-2.0.tar.Z into an arbitrary directory {sapjco-install-path}.
Next, change to the installation directory:
cd {sapjco-install-path} return
Depending on the format of the archive, type either
gunzip sapjco-rs6000-2.0.tgzreturn tar xf sapjco-rs6000-2.0.tarreturn
or, if you do not have the gunzip utility on installed your computer

Add {sapjco-install-path} to the LIBPATH environment variable.
Finally, add {sapjco-install-path}/sapjco.jar to your CLASSPATH environment variable.
HP-UX
To install JCo for HP-UX copy the file sapjco-hp_32-2.0.tgz or
sapjco-hp_32-2.0.tar.Z into an arbitrary directory {sapjco-install-path}.
Next, change to the installation directory:
cd {sapjco-install-path} return
Depending on the format of the archive, type either
gunzip sapjco-hp_32-2.0.tgzreturn tar xf sapjco-hp_32-2.0.tarreturn
or, if you do not have the gunzip utility installed on your computer

Add {sapjco-install-path} to the SHLIB_PATH environment variable.

To install JCo for OSF1-alpha copy the file sapjco-alphaosf-2.0.tgz or
sapjco-alphaosf-2.0.tar.Z into an arbitrary directory {sapjco-install-path}.
Next, change to the installation directory:
cd {sapjco-install-path} return
Depending on the format of the archive, type either
gunzip sapjco-alphaosf-2.0.tgzreturn tar xf sapjco-alphaosf-2.0.tarreturn
or, if you do not have the gunzip utility installed on your computer
